Description

Here is a nice watercolor showing the original mailboat on Lake Geneva. The Walworth was in service until scrapped after almost 50 years in 1965. Mail is still delivered by Walworth II today. This print shows Walworth approaching a private dock where the jumper leaps on the dock to deliver the mail and then jumps back onto the boat which has not stopped. He must be quick or else he will get wet. In those days, the jumpers were male, today the girls do the job also.
