Transparent watercolor painting of Polaris on Lake Geneva. Polaris is one of the two oldest boats on Lake Geneva Wisconsin. Polaris was built by the Racine Boat Manufacturing Company in 1898. She is 73 feet in length and was steam powered. Her new owner was Otto Young, a Chicago real estate tycoon. At about the same time he was building Stone Manor, the largest mansion on the lake. Polaris has been completely restored and converted to piston power, and is now available for public tours. Lake Geneva is famous for its’ many beautiful antique boats and Polaris is right at the top. Prints of this watercolor painting are 24.5 x 17.5 inches.
